2013 Sun Bicycles X3-AX

Sun's X3-AX features 3 wheels so you enjoy a go-cart feel and don't even have to put a foot down at stops. Plus, its light aluminum frame has plenty of get-up-and-go and handles like a dream, while the long wheelbase means a stable, predictable ride at even maximum speed. Complementing the great frame are 3 20-inch wheels with quality tires and dual rear disc brakes for total control. You'll also love the comfy, highly adjustable mesh seat and the easy ergonomic handlebar position. You get reliable Shimano, SRAM and Promax components for braking and shifting excellence too.

    Comments:

After four hip replacements(they fail) I needed exercise but the seat on my custom Specialized bike would put too much weight where it shouldn't be. I went to the Palm Springs area and spent considerable time looking at trikes. The senior population areas provided a good selection but this was the ONLY one I would consider. It is a slow beast but that is the only complaint. The seat and bike is a good match for my 250 lb frame and very comfortable. I was able to put knobby tires on it and hit some trails around my Oregon home. You need to have a fair understanding of how a bike works but this is laid out nicely and easy to work on. I'm nearing the point where I will part ways with any biking (health issues) and have a long list of folks wanting a first shot at buying mine at that point.
