COFFEE STOPS & CYCLING ADVOCACY
by Full Cycle Intern

Keeping a sense of community in the midst of a pandemic...

As a cycling community, we have a lot to thankful for in Boulder. On this last Coffee Stop ride (more on this below) of the Wednesday Morning Velo (WMV) 2020 season, we’d like to give a special shoutout to WMV co-founder Eric Long and to Cyclists 4 Community co-founder Russ Chandler (who also wears the lucky title of Full Cycle’s Chief Anxiety Coordinator) - pictured above. These two, along with many other driven, passionate, and selfless individuals,  have been tirelessly advocating, fundraising, and mobilizing our community for making cycling safer in Boulder County.

For the last 4 months, every Wednesday from 7 to 9 AM, you might have seen our van & tent off of Lefthand & Hwy 36 by The Greenbriar Inn, where free coffee & pastries were served (courtesy of weekly WMV sponsors).

In these times of physical distancing, it''s been a welcomed opportunity to remain connected with our cycling community walking (riding) the talk and doing what we do best: ride & talk bikes (and drink coffee!).

Here''s to making lemonades out of lemons, to the power of community, and to riding bikes with friends & total strangers!

Thank you all riders who stopped, volunteered, sponsored, and organized the Wednesday Morning Velo Coffee Stop all summer long!
