Our Shop Dogs
We love our dogs so our dogs come to work with us. We don’t think life gets much better than this. The dogs hang out with each other, the staff, the customers and doggie visitors. They love to get treats and scratches. They love to sneak outside and lay down in the sun.
Meet the dogs…

Ronin is a 4.5 year old Australian Shepherd who comes to work with Boulder General Manager Chuck Gartrell. He’s been hanging out at Pearl Street and the Hill for years now, making him one of the most seasoned Full Cycle dogs. Ronin is always happy to share a few words about his days at the shop.
FC: As a Full Cycle shop dog veteran, what do you think is so special about working at the shop instead of somewhere else? Ronin: Oh, definitely the tummy rubs. Everyone is just so nice, and there are so so many tummy rubs. FC: Tummy rubs are very fine indeed. What do you like to do when not getting tummy rubs? Ronin: Not getting tummy rubs? Scary! Well, I guess I like to cuddle and swim and chase tennis balls. I also like riding bikes with my dad. I know all the traffic signals! FC: You must be very smart. Do you think this is because of the tummy rubs? Ronin: Tummy rubs are the cause of everything good in the world. FC: Anything else you’d like to tell us before I give you a tummy rub? Ronin: Thanks everyone for all the tummy rubs! Thanks Doug C for the treats every day! Can I have a tummy rub now? |

Paiva is a 6-year-old Portuguese Water Dog who comes to work with Full Cycle owners Kaj & Karli Gronholm. Paiva agreed to talk with us in exchange for some treats.FC: Paiva, what is your favorite part about working at Full Cycle?
Paiva: Well, I like my bed in the buying office, and I also like my cousin’s bed in the accounting office. All in all, I’d say the uninterrupted sleeping is the best part. FC: What do you like to do when you’re awake? Paiva: I like to snuggle. And eat. And get pets. And swim. Then I go back to sleep!!! FC: Do you do much cycling? Paiva: Um, sometimes. I ride in my Chariot to go to work. It’s cool because I just sort of relax my eyes as my Dogdy pulls my trailer. FC: We’d better let you get back to sleep. Is there anything you’d like to tell your fans? Paiva: I’m very soft, and my Dogma and Dogdy NEVER feed me. So bring me food please. Just wake me up if I’m sleeping when you get here. Thank you. |

Nadja is a 7-year-old Husky/Shepherd/Lab mix that comes to work with Dewayne, our Service Manager in Ft. Collins. Nadja took time out of her busy schedule to talk shop with us for a few minutes.
FC: Nadja, what is your favorite part about coming to Full Cycle? Nadja: Running along the Spring Creek Trail to work is awesome. Sometimes I see fox and once I saw a coyote. And laying around on the cool floor and saying hi to everyone that comes into the shop. FC: I hear you ride into the shop and around the neighborhood. Does Dewayne have to keep up with you or the other way around? Nadja: Well, I can run really fast, so Dewayne has to keep up with me, but I like to pretend like I am tired so I can smell stuff. FC: Ha ha, that’s smart. What do you think of the UPS guy, paws up or paws down? Nadja: The UPS guy rocks! He always has treats for me and my dogfriend Merckx. I usually steal Merckx’s treat because he just looks at it on the ground. Fed Ex guy looks like the UPS guy, but doesn’t have treats so he is not my favorite. FC: Is there anything you particularly like to do when Dewayne isn’t watching? Nadja: I like go around to everyone at the shop that may have food and look really hungry. It usually works to my benefit because some of them don’t have dogs at home and think that I am hungry and give me bites. FC: Is there anything else you’d like to tell your fans? Nadja: I didn’t know that I have fans, but if I do I would like to say: “I really like seeing everyone and am glad to get petted, and always like to check out what smells you have on your pants/shoes.” |

So, being the youngest dog at the shop, how do you get along with the staff? Willow: They call me Magical Fairy Princess! That’s me! I love them! They love me! Do you have a soccer ball? FC: No, not on me, sorry. So, do you like to ride bikes? Willow: I run next to my dad! He rides his bike! I run, and while I run I think about soccer balls, running, and soccer balls, and running, and how much I love everyone and they love me! And also, I’m so fluffy and cute! Want to see me chase a soccer ball???? FC: Uh, sure. Thank you for talking with us… |

We hear you can tear it up out on the trails. Where is your favorite place to ride? Ruby: Ned! I go fast on twisty trails! Fast! Fast! Cardboard! Charlie Brown is a 4 year old Golden Retriever who comes to work with his dad Brad Brown, our store manager in Ft. Collins.
FC: Charlie, what is your favorite part about working at Full Cycle? Charlie: Petting, allll the petting. I get lots and lots of petting. Do you want to pet me? FC: Sure, thanks. You’re in pretty good shape Charlie, how do you do it? Charlie: I run to work every day next to my dad’s bike! It’s really fun. But I also like getting treats from the UPS man, so I have to make sure to run extra hard to stay in shape. FC: That’s really impressive. What do you do when you’re not riding bikes and getting treats? Charlie cut the interview short to go play with some kids who came into the shop, but left us with the parting words, “Support your local shop dog!!” |

Trappier Esquire, Attorney-at-Paw, better known as Trapper, is a 4-year-old Medium Brown Dog. She works at our Pearl Street shop with her adopted mom and shop co-owner Tanja Wiant. She spends a lot of her time in the back office working on her legal cases.
FC: Trapper, what is your favorite part about working at Full Cycle? Trapper: People give me treats and then they are my BFF! And butt scratches too! Hey, you, scratch my butt!! FC: Um, ok. So, are you really an attorney? Trapper: Yes. I represent other dogs facing injustice. Like sometimes they don’t get treats and butt scratches every day. Objection!! FC: I’ll be more careful. So, where do you ride? Trapper: I run to work next to my mom’s bike, but I’d rather ride in my trailer. I also go mountain biking with my dad. He likes to take me riding on Prime Cut in Fruita, but I think I’d rather have Prime Rib! Ha ha! FC: Ha ha. Thanks for talking with us Trapper. |
